Turbolader
Een pop off ventiel, ook wel dumpvalve of waste gate. Deze dienen als druk ontlasting van de turbo. Op het moment dat je gas loslaat, kan de turbo zijn druk niet meer kwijt in de inlaat van de motor. Via deze pop off ventiel kan hij het teveel aan druk alsnog kwijt. Dit gebeurt aan de hand van de pop off ventiel, hierdoor kan de turbo blijven draaien en zal deze niet stagneren. Hierdoor wordt de turbo minder zwaar en abrupt belast, waardoor hij een langere levensduur heeft. Bovendien pakt de turbo bij het weer gas geven sneller op, omdat hij niet helemaal tot stilstand is gekomen. De pop off ventiel wordt bevestigd aan de turbo.
